It’s been quite weird and odd to have the fun of people tweeting or facebooking or instagramming me pictures of themselves holding my book in their hands – from the four corners of the globe too! I love seeing those pictures – I get a thrill everytime I see one!! Please keep sharing them. But what’s really funny is that I myself still haven’t received my authors copy yet!!
I kid you not!
People around the world have received and read my book before I’ve even seen a physical copy of it. 😳😳😳😱😱😱😱. Turns out that the courier company marked my delivery on the 20th November (over a week ago!!!) as being undelivered because the courier guy couldn’t find my address! I live on the very edge of Melbourne in a new estate, lots of new houses and new roads being built around me but despite that I AM in google maps!! So I’d like to know what kind of lazy ass courier doesn’t look up google maps.?? For real? Grrrrrrr. 😡
So after speaking to the delivery company I’m being assured that it WILL be delivered tomorrow, Wednesday, after sitting all this time at Melbourne Airport – gahhhh! 😡. And I’m telling you, I’m not moving from the house until it’s here! No sireeeeee. (Plus it’s going to be 34 degrees Celsius and I avoid the sun like a vampire). So they better not let me down. ** shakes fist wildly. 📚📚📚
I’m also assured that the supply of books coming my way for the upcoming book launch will also be delivered. I’m holding it in my own home on the 16th because everything is booked up at this time of year and I personally think my book would make a great Christmas gift – you should get it onto your shopping list!! I’ll do a proper launch next year some time, when I have much more time to organise it.
So, yeah….I should finally FINALLY be able to hold my own book tomorrow….. Wonder if I’ll cry? (Seeing the ebook isn’t the same feeling, not quite.)
